Join us this summer at one of our FREE REC ON THE GO sites! Our new trailer will be bringing recreation to you. REC ON THE GO staff will set up activities and equipment for youth (3–12 years): games, sports, arts & crafts, activities and more!

This program is drop-in format. Participants must be registered for the summer at a designated park. The vehicle will arrive and leave at its scheduled time. The staff from Mounds View and Arden Hills Recreation & Parks are not responsible for any youth after the vehicle has exited the site. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Registration

• Rec on the Go is FREE to participants


• In order to participate, child must be registered online for the summer either through Mounds View or Arden Hills


• Child must be registered for EACH program site they would like to attend

Information

• ROTG is for youth 3 - 12 years old


• Children under the age of 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult


• Participants should wear athletic clothing that can get dirty, wear close-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle

Staff

• Staff are selected based on their education, experience, and passion for working with youth.


• Staff are expected to demonstrate sound judgment, dependability, integrity, and the ability to create an environment which reflects caring, respect, and safety for youth.


• All staff must complete a background check before working in the program.


• Our staff are experienced and caring, trained in working with youth and program safety including First Aid, CPR, and child abuse prevention.

Program Rules

• All participants, staff, and parents should be following MVPR and AHPR rules and regulations. In addition, ROTG rules are:

• ROTG staff reserve the right to remove participants from the program at any time for reasons of safety or severe behavior concerns.

Weather

• ROTG programming is held in rain or shine


• May be canceled due to severe weather


• Weather or cancellation notifications will be sent out to participant’s guardian’s emails


• Any questions about weather cancellations, please call the Mounds View Community Center front desk at (763) 717-4040.

While providing ROTG programming, we are NOT liable for the following:

• Participants that leave the Rec on the Go program space.


• Supervision of participants before or after designated program time.


• Injuries of participants’ that occur on programming site when ROTG is not in operation at the site.


• Lost, theft, or damage of items.


• Any outside disturbances that may be out of ROTG control due to programming in public space.


• Participants that do not meet the age requirement.
